Food is quite frankly a drug. It is the MOST important drug that you could ever possibly take because it is something that your body absolutely needs for survival. So why fill it with drugs that would do your body harm? Nutrition is the most important part of any fitness training program. Wanna lose body fat; nutrition is a must. Wanna gain muscle; nutrition is a must. Wanna live longer, healthier, more comfortably; then nutrition is an absolute must!!! CrossFit without proper nutrition is like trying to set the 100 m sprint World Record while wearing an open parachute...desired results just won't happen. Now, it's true (like many other things) different nutritional programs will react differently with each person, you will find that there tends to be some general consensus no matter what you choose to follow (by the way, the trainers at CrossFit Spokane tend to preach the Paleo, Zone, or both) so it would be safe to assume that these points are important: the less processed the better, the less grain/flour/oat/wheat the better, the less sugar the better. You might find that the "old school ways" of healthy eating just aren't true (i.e. low fat high carb).
In our recipes section you'll find two avenues to get healthy (Paleo/Zone/Both) recipes which can be the most important factor in truly attaining lifelong health. Below are either written out recipes, or links to sites that offer great recipes. You might also find links to articles/sites that discuss certain nutritional topics.
